Beyond the Classroom: A Year of Learning, Discovery and Growth

At ISA Science City International School, Guangzhou, education extends far beyond the classroom. Throughout the 2025–26 academic year, a vibrant calendar of events, celebrations and student-led experiences brought our community together, creating opportunities for students to explore their interests, discover their strengths and grow into thoughtful, well-rounded individuals.

From Charity Week, which encouraged compassion and community service, to Pink Day, which promoted kindness and anti-bullying awareness, students were inspired to look beyond themselves and make a positive difference. Cultural celebrations, including the Mid-Autumn Festival, Chinese New Year, Christmas Assembly, Children’s Day, World Language Week and the Winter Gala, offered opportunities to appreciate diverse traditions, embrace different perspectives and strengthen our international community.

Beyond cultural exchange, students put their curiosity into action through educational trips, STEM Week, Soapbox Racing and the EY, PYP and MYP Exhibitions, alongside the TOK Exhibition. These experiences connected learning with the world around them, encouraging inquiry, critical thinking, creativity and independent expression.

The year also came alive through the energy of ISA Festival, the excitement of Sports Day, the artistry of Chinese Drama and the Whole School Music Concert. From celebrating achievement at Graduation Ceremony to building meaningful connections at the Boarding Appreciation Dinner, every occasion contributed to a shared sense of belonging.

Together, these moments reflect our commitment to a holistic education that nurtures academic curiosity, cultural understanding, creativity, resilience and social responsibility. At ISA Science City, every experience is an opportunity to learn, every challenge a chance to grow, and every student encouraged to discover their potential.
