The founding team of ISA Science City International School came together on 3rd August for the first staff orientation programme. This month long initiative brings together all members of the staff of the school, working together to ensure that all which is needed to successfully launch the school is in place by 31st August.
The first day was divided into four sections. Section One was an initial overview of ISA Science City, particularly the progress to date. The second section looked at the vision, mission and direction for the school. Critical in this section was the discussion on the importance of shared values and existing powerfully as one staff. The third section saw Stanley Wong, Direction of Operations, talk a little about the campus and about the operations function at the school. The final section of the day saw sub-school teams come together to begin learning more about their specific teams.
The orientation programme follows four weeks of themes, as outlined below:
Week One: Who we are and whom we aspire to be
Week Two: Our programmes and pathways
Week Three: School operational readiness, across all functions and teams
Week Four: Meet with our families and undertake final preparations for the opening of the school
It was wonderful to be at the school and to bring together our staff for the first time, as we now utilize the remaining four weeks to best prepare for the launch of this wonderful international school.
