As a school community, we all want the best for our students when it comes to their education. It is our goal to help them learn, grow, and succeed in their academic journey. The Standardized Assessments system in ISA Science City allows us to keep track of the progress of our students and the strength of our academic programmes, helping us ensure our students are getting the education they need and deserve.
The first ICU Cheerleading World Cup Competition was held from 6 to 8 October 2023 in Seoul, South Korea. Nearly 100 teams from more than 20 countries and regions participated in this cheerleading event of the highest level in the world. Michelle Huang, a Grade 10 student from ISASC, was part of the Chinese team that won the Youth Coed Median Championship, the first time a Chinese team has won the championship in the same type of international event, through three days, three games, and more than 80 teams competing on the same stage. This is also the first time for the Chinese team to win the championship in the same type of international competition, which is a historic moment worth remembering.
Wellbeing is fundamentally important to the overall health, development, and happiness of all people. Wellbeing focuses on the balance between the social, emotional, and physical aspects of a person’s life. At ISA Science City, we feel it is important that students and staff balance these aspects of their lives to achieve a sense of wellbeing.
G12 Students recently participated in their Theory of Knowledge Exhibition, where they had an opportunity to share their work with the ISASC community. The Exhibition is one of two assessments in the TOK course, which focuses on the ways in which we acquire, verify, and communicate knowledge. Students are tasked with curating the exhibition which explores a predetermined prompt and the ways in which the prompt manifests itself in the real world. It was a remarkable opportunity for students and teachers, family, and peers to engage in long form discussion of knowledge issues.
The eternal moon is like a vessel for the soul, carrying people's aspirations for beauty and the pursuit of happiness from ancient times to the present. In order to celebrate the smooth start of the school year, further promote the interaction between teachers, students and parents, and to celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, ISASC held a "Back-to-School Night and Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration" on Wednesday after school this week.
The school canteen is designed to serve students and ensure the safety of its products. It focuses on the overall and individual nutritional needs of students from the perspective of their growth needs and operates in strict accordance with food hygiene and safety, cooperating with internationally famous brand supermarkets and direct suppliers from domestic excellent green and organic farms. The canteen offers a wide range of food to provide healthy, balanced and nutritious food for every student in the school.
